Hi Listers, The 1881 census has possibly lead me to my g-grandfather Charles HARRIS abt. 1853 in Walford, Hereford, wife Fanny abt. 1855 in Ledbury, Hereford and son Henry (grandfather) b. 1875 in East Dean, Gloucester. Charles was a coal miner. The census lists dwelling as Hasel Hill, Wesbury on Severn, East Dean. I need help with two things: First and foremost I cannot locate a registration of birth for Henry b. 1875 (full name on marriage certificate Henry Jason Owen HARRIS) in order to get a birth certificate. I would also like to know if Hasel Hill was the location of a coal pit. I would sincerely appreciate any help.
