Hi Listers, Hopefully one of you can offer some insight into this one which has been puzzling me for a while... During my family history research I have unearthed a number of certificates over recent months {birth, marriage etc} most of which for the St. Briavel area of the F.o.D. and all of which have dual languages on them, namely English & Welsh..... I know St. Briavels and certain other areas are right near/on the border, so my question is this, does anyone know just what the offical or day to day language of that area was through the centuries....was there ever a time they all spoke Welsh perhaps? I look forward to your responses with interest... Tks Dave Cheltenham --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
