Hi List I am trying to find the births of ALDEN George b about 1846 and his wife WELCH Rosena born about 1846. The 1881 census has them living in Newnham,Bullo,Gloucs They were married in 9.8.1866 in Soundley - Westbury on Severn and fathers names were recorded as ALDEN George labourer and WELCH Thomas labourer. This same census shows that ALDEN George was 34 yrs and born in Theale (either Berks or Somerset) and that WELCH Rosena 34 yrs was born GLS Broadoak Gloucs. the I.G.I. has a WELCH Rosanna being christened 7.3.1847 Westbury on Severn and shows parents as Thomas and Sarah and the 1851 census has a 4 yr old Rosaina WELCH as a scholar living with and EVANS Thomas in Westbury on Severn. But there is no definite connection although it is very likely to be the same woman. Any clues on either would be greatly appreciated. Rgds John
