    1. [FoD] Reading Records and name JELLAMEY (or sounds like)
    2. Carole Foster
    3. Hello to All Forest of Dean researchers, During your various searches if you come across a reference to the surname JELLAMEY (sounds like with any spelling) I would appreciate hearing from you. Particularly 1841 census records. The name I am particularly interested in is LOUISA JELLAMY who married at Newland in 1844, when living at Lydbrook. Louisa was born about 1822 with a possible connection to the surname HATTON ANY occurrance of the two names in the same parish would be of great iinterest. (her mother may be Jellamy and her father Hatton). I have collected ALL references to JELLAMY in the IGI, including such possibilities as JELLYMAN or BELLAMY. Please do not use your valuable time by resending them. The surname appears to mainly congregate in a small area in the Forest of Dean, and I would be most interested in finding a trail to explain where the surname came from. Did it die out naturally or was it converted to another spelling as a result of pronounciation ?. As I live in Australia and am unable to attend a LDS library I am finding it difficult to get past this brick-wall, any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Carole from Oz. <[email protected]>
