Hi List I am re-posting my interests as I have been out of communication for some time. My g gfather Benjamin CLARK had Bakery/gen stores (about 1870 - 1904) in Newent Lydney and Primrose Hill Lydney (both subsequently taken over by my gfather Charles CLARK). On the other side of the family my g gfathr Thomas BOWEN gives his occupation as a Forge Hammerman in Iron works on marriage certificate of 1874. Can anyone tell me exactly what this occupation was and where I can obtain more info re Iron works at this time. Any info would be appreciated.
