Hazel - Well hello again what a surprise, I have to admit that I didn't pay much attention to thr Senders address !! The ROBINS - I have made a littje process so I send a copy of part of my written history as follows:- ****************** As the death of Thomas ROBINS was recorded in the Webb Family Bible he must have been of some importance to the family. Subsequently it was realised from entries on birth certificates that Mary Webb's (born 1860) maiden name was ROBINS and from census return had been born at Caerwent, Chepstow, Monmouth. From these beginnings, the ROBINS branch of the WEBB family was established. . The earliest ROBINS ancestor found upto June 2004 is William ROBINS born at Carwent, Chepstow Monmouth in 1795. William married about 1823 ,his wife's christian name was Hannah, her maiden name is not known. However it is known from the 1841 census that she was born in 1801 at Caerwent. William an Hannah had ( as far as is known) four children :- . Page 18. ROBINS William 45 Ag. Lab Hannah 40 * Charles 15 * William 12 * Thomas 7 * * = born in county also in same house-ROBINS 40 Ag. Lab. Hannah appears again in the census of 1871 aged 70 years . Thomas was eventually to become the father of Dessima and Mary Robins, the latter marrying William Webb. ************************ Is this of use ? Any further info will be sent PDQ if required, Nice to hear from you again Best regards Peter. ----- Original Message ----- From: <SWLady123@aol.com> To: <ENG-GLOS-FOREST-DEAN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, December 07, 2004 6:55 PM Subject: Re: [FoD] 1851 census Glos > peter.webb2@btinternet.com (peter webb) wrote > > >>> There are fifteen " BERKELEY" listed in the 1851 Glos. census. <<< > > Hi Peter, > > Sorry, I probably didn't make myself clear.
