I would appreciate it if someone with access to the 1871 Census for Lydney or for Newland, one of which hopefully covers Breames Eaves and/or Blisters in the Forest of Dean, could do a "look up" for me. I am hoping to find out where in HEF Thomas (head of family) was born. The family in 1871 would have been: HIGGINS, Thomas (in his 40's) born HEF (according to 1881 Census) Mary Ann, 30, born Purton, GLS Thomas, 5, born Whitecroft, GLS Mary, 2, born Blisters, GLS William, baby, born Breames Eaves I would also be interested to hear if anyone has seen this family in the 1891 Census with the additional children and possibly more than listed as I have a gap of 6 years between William and Albert: Albert, born Woodside Bream about 1877 Kate, born Woodside Bream about 1880 Charles, born Little Dean in 1882 (my grandfather) I have heard that there was an Andrew and an Aubrey but I have not been able to locate these two at all.
