I am trying to find out more about the PROUT family - my earliest ancestor is James Prout who married Elizabeth Edwards on 17/6/1816 at Lydney. His son George Prout who was bapt at Lydney on 21/1/1821 married Amelia Williams a widow formerly ROBBINS. George was a woodcutter and had children Elizabeth 1850 followed by Harriet 1852, James 1856, Emma 1858 and William 1863. I would appreciate any help or information on this family.
