    3. Hi, I am new to this list. My father's mother came from Clearwell, a place that my dad has always loved . I have been into the record office to look at the 1901 census and found a number of relatives in BLAKENEY. I could not find a reference for COLEFORD or CLEARWELL. Could someone please point me to the RG reference? My interests are ALLFORDs and BROOKS, Regards, Anne-Marie (Lancashire girl living in Oxfordshire)

    3. Hello Anne-Marie: I am currently looking up the burial registers that I have and found in St Michael & All Angels, Mitcheldean 1759-1836. Brooks Samuel of Westbury, 1768 Sept 16th. Brooks Samuel 1796 Mar 20, Brooks William 1814 Jan 15--Age 25 of Ross Hef. Other entries for Brookes, if you are interested. Church of St Ethelbert LIttledean Memorial Inscriptions: North of Church door. Audrey, wife of William Brooks, died Aug 30 1746 age 53, No ALLFORD'S but other Brookes. This doesn't answer your question but may be of help. Pearl Ager, Western Australia. My Ggrandmother was Mary Ann ALLFORD, born about 1844, daughter of Thomas ALFORD and Eliza (HILLMAN). In 1851 census she was at her grandparents, listed by the enumerator as the ILLMANs. Mary Ann married Samuel BIRT, a coal miner, and by the time my grandmother was born they had moved to Sheffield. I would be interested to know if this fits in with your research.
