    3. Hi Steve So glad to make contact with you. As yet I have not found an Absalom but research is in early days, but with names like Shadrach and brother Meshach I would not be surprised if they were not related! I believe Shadrach was baptised at Park End as sks sent me a whole family baptised there, parents Thomas and Maria. And I have this family on 1841 census Mill Hill. Maria is at Mill Hill as a widow in 1851. Shadrach was born about 1832 and gives his place of birth as Bream or Lidney (sic) on later censuses. Some questions I am asking myself are these ..... Shadrach and Sarah seem to have had 4 children baptised at the Bible Christian Chapel, Bream - is this the Clements End chapel? The children were John (1857), Evan (1865), William (1868) and Sarah Hanah (1870). Were there any children born to them between 1857 and 1865? (Logically I would expect 2 children). Did they die? Where would they have been buried? I believe Evan may have died prior to the family moving to Staffs in 1881-91 Where were Shadrach and Sarah married (sometime 1850 - 1856 ?) ie were the chapel allowed to perform marriages or would it have been performed somewhere else? (At Bream church or maybe a civil wedding blessed at the chapel? Or were they married before the chapel came into existance?) What part did Shadrach play in the life of the chapel? I believe an article in Dean Forest Mercury of 1990 states Shadrach was a trustee of the Chapel in 1904 - this was after his move to Staffs. What was a trustee? Do you know of this article? I had a thought that Shadrach moved to Staffs for the mining as it was perhaps not flourishing in Bream but maybe he went to "spread the word" as methodism was flouishing in The Potteries. I would love any info on Shadrach Jenkins, his wife Sarah Davis (born Bream Eaves) or any of their family (I believe Thomas was father to Shadrach and William father to Sarah). I would love to read any info on nonconformism/bible chapel in Bream or freemining to fill in local history and make Shadrach and Sarah "come to life" as it were eg did Shadrach ever work his own gale? I have read through all the gale descriptions on a FoD site and not seen him but there are other Jenkins. If it is at all possible I would love a picture of the Chapel - as it is now or from the past. There is nothing on the web that I can find. I don't expect all the above can be answered but any bit of info to lead to further research/reading would be most welcome.
