I would expect to find the Birth registered under Chepstow, Monmouthshire for Lydney/Blakeney ( gloucestershire) in GRO vol 11a. If your info comes from FreeBMD rather than the "real" register you may have found the "wrong" individual - same name perhaps. They came to Rhondda Valley a little later and had 5 children that I know of. Flora 1878 Philip Henry 1880 Charlotte Annie 1882 Richard James 1886 Alice Maud 1893 I have both marriage certs.
