James Payne (cordwainer) Awre, his son William Payne (shoemaker) Flaxley, Newland his sons Henry Payne (shoemaker and rural postman) west Dean , Bream, Newland James Payne (shoe and bootmaker) west Dean , Lydney Henrys son William Payne (shoemaker) I would be very grateful for any information (pictures , articles) on shoemaking in general in the Forest in the 19th century. Hello Sandy , My Gt Gt Gr father Isaac WEBB was a cordwainer - boot & shoemaker born at Horsley 1808, his son William b,1832 , he was also a bootmaker, he married in 1854 at Newlands to an Agnes - her maiden name is not known . I wondered if you have an Agnes in your Payne Family who married at Newlands in 1854 tp a William WEBB ?
