Dear Fellow Listers, I appreciate that you'd rather be soaking up the sun or tending to your flower beds and the like, but could I ask for one small favour please? I was recently contacted by a possible "distant cousin" via Genes connected. Our whole new relationship is hanging on a single marriage between David Williams of Llangennech, Carmarthen and Mary Rogers, I believe of Trevethin, Monmouth, England. The marriage took place at Trevethin on 29 April 1837. David's father we are assuming is John William/s, also of Carmarthen. Neither of us are able to get to the local records office to look at the Parish entry for this marriage, and I don't know wether it's in Gloucester or perhaps in Newport. Could someone please suggest the best place to start searching, or if at all possible, look-up the entry for this marriage. We are hoping that either a brother of David or even his father may have been present as a witness. David's brothers were John, Jobe, William, Daniel and Joseph. I hope someone may be able to offer a chink of light. Thank you in eager anticipation John Nelson
