    3. Hi Sylvia, As far as I know the parish churchin Lydbrook was'nt built until around 1850. My family of ROBERTS were also from Lydbrook, I have found baptisms in English Bicknor, and Ruardean, however I am still searching for others, so I think other surrounding parishes are also likely.     3. I have come across some references to the ROBERTS family who at one stage had the manor at Westbury which isn't too far from Lydbrook. I have references as follows: Roberts of Bengrove 1630s Giles Roberts 1630s Roberts of Upton Bengrove 1630s Alice Roberts, c 1600-1637who married Richard Colchester 1609, Roberts in Woolaston 1633, Roberts, Beckford 1692 Roberts, Bourton on the Water 1676, Roberts of Harescombe 1557, Agnes Roberts, Yate 1666 Alice Roberts, wife of Henry Roberts, pumpmaker, mother of Martha, Hannam 1690 Christopher Roberts of Saul 1565 Anthony Roberts 1640/1 Benjamin Roberts, son of Nicholas 1621 Cecily (Slicelys) Roberts 1683 Chris Roberts, sidesman of Arlingham died c 1600 William Roberts of Bengrove co. Glouc born 1623 Benedict Roberts If you recognise any of these, I would be most interested in hearing from you.     3. Hi Mike Saw your message of a couple of days ago and wondered if you had come across Rosa Ellen ROBERTS. This was her married name. Her maiden name was COOPER Rosa Helen born Dec Quar 1872 Monmouth As far as I can tell she was married to William Richard ROBERTS in June Quarter 1893 in Monmouth. Their children were John Edward ROBERTS born March Quart 1895 Frederick William ROBERTS not sure of date Lily TEAGUE ROBERTS born Dec Quart 1898 Thomas Harold TEAGUE ROBERTS. I havent yet sent for birth certificates but I think the last two children were my Gt Grandfathers, Tom TEAGUE. Rosa Ellen ROBERTS married Tom TEAGUE in 1921 just a couple of months before he died. They are buried in Christchurch.
