Hello listers, Mary Marcia Edwards Nimilla/Vernillia HARRIS, usually known by the name of Nimilla/Vernilla was born at Woolaston, c 1806 to William and Mary HARRIS of Brookend, Woolaston. I am trying to trace her possible marriage to a William HARRIS who was not with Nimilla from 1851 on. Nimilla and family lived at Whitecroft, West Dean. The 1851 census shows her as umarried, the 1861 census as widow of a coal miner! Can anyone help me out with possibly the 1841 census of Whitecroft or marriage ,c 1839? In 1841 her family could look like:- William HARRIS, Coalminer. Nimilla or Mary HARRIS, b Woolaston c 1806 (35) Seemstress. Maria HARRIS, dau. 1 year old. b.West Dean. Alfred HARRIS, son. ? months ? do. Nimilla had several siblings. One brother was:- 1881 census details. Walter Barrow HARRIS. Hd. Sail Maker. 68. m. b Woolaston. Ann HARRIS. Wife 61. do. Alfred HARRIS . son Papermaker. 21. do Sidney HARRIS. son do 19 do. Mary HARRIS. dau scholar. 13 do. Is anyone researching same family? Any help appreciated.
