Can anyone help me with Parish records please? I am researching the HALE family from the East Dean, Lydbrook area and looking for marriage details of JOHN HALE, born c1817 (ED) and ELIZA SMITH born c1819 (L). I found GRO references but both the Cinderford RO and the GRO have said they were not married to each other! I would also be interested to know if they were still on the 1891 census, the 1881 census gives them as John HALE M 65 M Tump East Dean, Gloucester, England Rel: Head Occ: Coal Miner Eliza HALE M 62 F Lydbrook, Gloucester, England Rel: Wife Thomas EVAN 13 M Joyford W. Dean, Gloucester, England Rel: Visitor Occ: Scholar Their first child Elizabeth was born in 1939. I cannot find a reference for Elizabeth either, having checked a year either side so can anyone help in finding her please? Elizabeth had brothers and sisters - Mary (1841), John (1845), Moses (1849) - my great grandfather, and Thomas (1851). I have found info on these but Elizabeth has me beat! Any help in tracing the above would be much appreciated. Thanks Diane
