I am also researching the name George TINGLE in the Forest of Dean. My George was born in 1790 and died in 1852 in Littledean. His children were Clara (b. 1810), Mathew (b. 1813) and Mark (b. 1816). It is quite possible with the same forename that there might be a connection between your son-in-law's GGG Grandfather and my TINGLE line once you get back a generation or two.
