Hello John You won't find Shadrach's burial in Glos - he emigrated to Staffs about 1880, infact his whole family is there by 1891 census. You along with other fantastic people on this list have given me such a lot of leads to research but I think an early priority must be the marriage of Shadrach Jenkins to Sarah Davies to confirm their parents' names. My guess is that they married sometime between 1852 and 1856 (son John was born March 1857) and I would guess it would be at or near to Bream or Parkend. I have tried FreeBMD but as yet had no luck with this marriage. I have never been to the Forest of Dean, closest has been Upleadon where friends lived for some years. I am hoping to put this right this summer and bring my parents for a visit. Mum would like to see where her great grandmother came from. I shall be chasing up Sarah Davies too, this research I will take as far back as possible as it is my maternal line. I shall need to find her baptism circa 1827 to try to find her mother's name.
