Hello Listers I have just joined and lloking for information about the above families. I have found Daniel Dorrington's birth in Mar 1891 but cannot find him on 1891 or 1901 census. And I can't find anything about his wife Annie HATTON, born 1893. They were both Forest if Dean folk, born, lived and died there so it is said. He was a miner. I have looked on the F of D Local History page. The only miner with the right surname I can find on the 1901 census is Edward Dorrington, hewer underground and his son Edward, belt boy. There is a 12 year old Henry but no 10 year old to be Daniel. It would be wonderful if anyone knows or is related to this family. I am searching for a friend whose wife was Wynona Dorrington. Clare

Hi Clare I have Dorrington's in my family and they were born in St Briavel's in the Fof Dean. Which part of the Forest were your's born in as you do not say? As it is late, I will dig mine out tomorrow and have a look at what I have to see if it ties in with you.
