Looking for any info on the origin of Henry TAYLOR. According to 1851 and other censuses he was born around 1821 at Newland. Henry TAYLOR, nail maker, married Ann JAMES on 9 Nov 1844 at Newland. No father's name given on certificate - both of full age. Both resided at Whitecliff. Issue: Sarah Ann born c1846 at Newland. Fanny born 1 Jun 1848 at Newland. Benjamin born c1851 at Newland. Fanny TAYLOR married John CONSTANT at Newland on 15 May 1870. Fanny was my great grandmother. I have searched the LDS film of the Newland register for Henry's baptism but to no avail. Although, there was no problem finding him in the 1851 and later censuses, I was not able to locate him in the 1841 census (not noteworthy for its clarity), which might have given some clue to his parentage.
