    1. [FoD] KNIGHTS OF THE REALM
    2. G'day from Canberra I was wondering if anyone has expertise in tracing knights. I have located in a 1776 publication (Ticknell, John. The History of Town and Country of Kingston Upon Hull, From its Foundations in the Reign of Edward the First to the Present Time) an account of the Battle of Wakefield, 30 December 1460, as part of the Wars of the Roses. In Ticknell's account of the battle and aftermarth he states that Sir Richard LIMBRICK was taken prisoner and later behedded (as was the Duke of York). Guppy in his examination of English names states that Sir Richard came from Gloucestershire and represents the earliest record of a Limbrick. Can anyone tell me if it might be possible to find out any further information about Sir Richard. I am not looking for family connections but rather something of the history of Sir Richard in 15th century Gloucestershire. Any ideas/suggestions? Doug Limbrick
