Hi Listers, I am trying to find my Gt Grandfathers sister Elizabeth HARRIS born 1857/9 Whitchurch, Herefordshire. I have her on the 1881 Census, unmarried aged 24 as a dressmaker and she is still living with her parents George and Jane HARRIS in Berry Hill, West Dean. From then I lose her although I have her parents on 1891 Census. Maybe she was married? I did not find her on the Christchurch Parish Records. If anyone finds her I would be delighted to hear from you. Happy hunting Sue Researching: HARRIS, Whitchurch, Herefordshire then Berry Hill, FOD

Dear List I realise this may be a little off list, and for that I apologise. I hope any of you with relatives who died in Britain's wars may sympathise though. If any of you, especially those living in the Dorset, Wilts, Somerset and Gloucestershire areas, who have a little time to spare and a digital camera, may find this project fascinating, rewarding, and at times very moving. Why not take a look at the web site, and if you are at all interested, please send me an e-mail and we'll take it from there. http://www.britishwargraves.org.uk/ Cheers, Dave Jacobs
Is anyone researching the Robbins family? I'm particularly interested in Joseph ROBBINS b. 1792-93 Ernest Hatton Royal Forest of Dean DNA Project http://RoyalForestofDean.homestead.com/
I am trying to find anyone who may have a member of this family in their research. The family surname was Davis in the 1881 Census, although Martha always had Davies on any of her certificates. William Davis, born about 1831 East Dean - coal miner Eliza (nee Harris) wife abt 1834 East Dean Edwin Davis abt 1855 East Dean - possibly died as no trace on any census Elizabeth Davis abt 1859 East Dean Alfred J Davis, abt 1861 East Dean (possibly an John Alfred born abt 1863 but not confirmed as part of this family as yet) George Davis, abt 1864 East Dean Martha DAVIS 1866 - my gt grandmother Jane DAVIS abt 1870 East Dean Rebecca DAVIS abt 1876 East Dean Ellen M. DAVIS abt 1879 East Dean I do know that Martha, Rebecca and George were living in Monmouthshire in 1891 Any information, however small, would be much appreciated. Hi All I'm trying to find information on the marriage of my Gt Grandfather Tom TEAGUE and Rosa Ellen ROBERTS. This was his 2nd marriage around 1921. Rosa already had some children John Edward ROBERTS Fredrick William ROBERTS Lily TEAGUE ROBERTS born Dec Quarter 1898 Thomas Harold TEAGUE ROBERTS (infant in 1922) The last two I assume were Tom TEAGUE'S, born before his 1st wife died. Rosa Ellen was married to William Richard ROBERTS in 1893. I cannot find a death for him. Rosa was born in 1872, Rosa Helen (not Ellen) COOPER, she died in 1946 aged 73 years. Tom TEAGUE died in 1922 a few months after marrying Rosa. Has anyone any information on any of the above Julie

Hi Sylvia, As far as I know the parish churchin Lydbrook was'nt built until around 1850. My family of ROBERTS were also from Lydbrook, I have found baptisms in English Bicknor, and Ruardean, however I am still searching for others, so I think other surrounding parishes are also likely. Best wishes, Mike Roberts. ----- Original Message ----- From: "sylvia morgan" <sylviamorgan213@hotmail.com> To: <ENG-GLOS-FOREST-DEAN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, May 04, 2004 6:02 PM Subject: [FoD] Lydbrook > Hi Can anyone tell me please in which parish Lydbrook was in 1816.
