    3. Hi S Presumably it was in the birthplace column as you don't normally get a county name in the occupation column, so is probably meant to be Whitchurch (there is one of those in HEF). 1. Wilce Family
    2. I am interested in what happened to Thomas Wilce b1857 and Martha Wilce b1860. They were the children of Thomas and Amelia Wilce and lived in Lydbrook. They also had a brother Arthur who was my partners grandfather . I have located the whole family in the 1881 census. Any information would be very useful. Thankyou David (London)

    1. Amendment to Surnames Submissions Fields
    2. Chris O'Sullivan
    3. Hi Listers After discussion, it has been found necessary to slightly modify the fields on the Submission Pages because of confusion which has arisen over surname variants. As a result, the first name field is no longer an option - my apologies if this inconveniences anyone. In instances where someone has submitted more than one posting for the same surname and location, I have grouped these together and adjusted the date accordingly. (If you fall into this category please verify that your posting reflects the correct information.) By deleting the first name field, this now enables surname variants to be entered into one posting. The initial response has been excellent - I have just forwarded Dave the first submissions for uploading. Regards Chris

    1. Pooling Resources Update - We're Ready
    2. Chris O'Sullivan
    3. Hi All, Even though this thread has been quiet, a lot has been going on behind the scenes over the past few weeks. Thanks to the technical skills of David Watkins we are now able to submit our surname interests by following the links on http://members.iinet.net.au/~davwat/royalfor/ David has done a truly excellent job in putting the original concept into practice and my sincere thanks goes to him for all of his hard work. I would also like to thank Marsha and Lee Ann for their constructive comments and helpful advice. So what goes on behind the scenes? David has set up the submissions page so that the postings are forwarded to me. I process them into a tab delimited text file, then forward this to David for uploading. After this first stage has settled down we will look at a Resources Look Up page which Diane Hale of Bath, England has kindly offered to administer - thank you Diane.
