I've just been recapping my mail, and found your query again... The name rang a bell because I now live near the town of Bletchley, but I'm fairly sure I've seen it before, and I think it might be because he was actually the enumerator of the Hawkesbury 1851 census ... or some in the villages around - have you noticed that? I have found an entry in the 1851 Census which shows my G-G-Grandmother, Charlotte HOPKINS, and her sister, Mary, working as servants in the residence of Dr? Ebenezer BLETCHLY. I am hoping to get some background information.
