John (Baron) THOMPSON Captain 4th Royal Irish Dragoons. Mo. Alice or Anne BURTON. WGT was educated at Briwood School and Rugby. It his obitury it mentions a brother, Col. Sir R. THOMPSON K.C.M.G. He came to NZ abt. 1880 married 1896 and had 8 children and died 1928. I have searched for WGTs parents to no avail. Have had a searcher look through Miltary Records with no luck.
