I've only just recently been looking through the Bishops Transcripts for Sherston Magna in Wiltshire which is about 5.6 miles from Hawkesbury. This is probably of interest to Geoffro and Robert because I noticed a fair few THOMPSON's and MILLARD's. I also have a copy of the LDS British Vital Records CD which also covers Sherston Magna and this contained 41 THOMPSON marriages, 126 THOMPSON baptisms, 7 MILLARD marriages and 14 MILLARD baptisms. I just thought I would mention that Hawkesbury is VERY close to the border with Wiltshire. To-day it is but one parish away. I know of several people to-day in the village who married people from Sopworth which is I believe over the border and is just as close as Wickwar.
