Hi Anne There is in effect water reservoirs all over due to the nature of the rock structure, there is that great lump of concrete at Hewitts Piece I think it must still be there that was intended as a Header tank I think, it might pump water from under ground, but I have a feeling water was extracted from Killcott. also 25 years ago there was a lot of works going on in the hill side at Sodbury It may have been something to do with water but there cannot be much need for a large man made reservoir when you can dig a well anywhere at Hawkesbury and the water table is fairly constant.
