    3. I knew that would grab your attention. Whilst idly browsing last night and feeling rather thirsty, I had a look at www.gloucestershirepubs.co.uk . If you already know the site, forgive me, but if you don't its a mine of information about pub owners, landlords, tenants over the years, including directory entries. Its searchable and will give you lots of references to Hawkesbury. I also searched for WATTS. As an example, I found that the pub at Inglestone Common, Nr Hawkesbury was run by S. WATTS in 1856. and that Mrs S WATTS (?the same person) was at the Crown Inn, High St, Wickwar in 1885. For the SHIPP collector, J SHIPP was at the Codrington Arms, near Yate (which is still trading) in 1856 and, also in 1856, R N SHIPP was at the New Inn, High St, Wickwar. Hope this helps somebody Cheerio Carole PS thanks to Ronda for the WATTS references in Wilts.
