Hi all Having complained off-list to Geoffro yesterday that there was no-one at the get together with COOPER connections, I woke this morning to a long e-mail from Pam Ray in Australia, replying to a message I sent her in May. She has Hawkesbury COOPER connections, and I did correspond with her several years ago. If anyone can find copies of our previous correspondence, I would be very pleased. Pam has just returned from a four month European tour, much spent in Norway doing research on her father's family about whom she is writing a book. She did, however, visit both Hawkesbury and Horton, where she said it was raining. Pam attended the recent Australasian Congress on Genealogy in Perth, where she delivered a paper. She also met Shirley STONE, but has not yet had contact with Roderick COOPER. Pam uses a Mac, so is going to post me some stuff rather than send it as an attachment. I will let you all know what she has. She is obviously very busy, and thinks membership of the mailing list may be more than she can cope with. I have said that I will forward items of interest. These Australians can be so helpful .... Bob Lawrence
This is brilliant news. I, for one, am on the edge of my chair. Geoffro

I have a couple of researchers listed for these families and Geoff has sent me info. If this is Pam's family I would be happy to make contact (or of course if she had other GLS family who came to Oz pre 1888).
