Fantastic news from Marilyn. There are 2302 christenings on C036121 one of the christening batch numbers for Hawkesbury. I havent counted them on C036132 yet. This new develpment enables us to create our own index for cross checking with original fiches so that we can amend or correct the details. All listers have the opportunity to be involved in a project of this sort and to benefit from the completed project. My preferred method would be for us to input the information into Excel so that we can later add other information from other sources such as marriages, burials, censuses etc. We could build our own database of Hawkesbury residents for listers and others to use and share. Given that we have 70 list members then we could each do a block of 30 entering the details as on the IGI and adding in the parents details as given. Obviously some listers may want or be able to do more. We may need to move quickly on this. What are your thoughts and comments ???????
