    3. Hello Geoff, Now that I am a bit more sorted, may I introduce myself as Peter Benger from Hampshire. My interest is in the ELLIOT(T) family whom I thought came from Hawkesbury, but now seem to have been centred around Hillesley. On that basis, have I joined the correct list? Henry ELLIOT seems to have been born at Hillesley in about 1825. The family later moved to Kent. Any ELLIOT information would be welcomed. Regards Peter Benger mailto:heraldman@btinternet.com

    3. Hi Peter I have come across some ELLIOTS I believe they moved from Oldbury-on-Hill to Hawkesbury about 1730 ish I do know they are connected to Swangrove house, I think they moved in when the STINCHCOMES left. If you dont know its location its just off the A46 opposite Dunkirk farm towards Badminton set in woodland it is owned by the Duke of Beaufort now I think, and therefore the ELLIOTS will be mentioned in the Badminton estate papers held at the Glouscester records office. There is one ELLIOT alive in Hawkesbury Vera used to be the post lady I think her Husband was Fredrick b. abt 1910 she lives opposite my mother and I was hoping to see her tomorrow as it happens. regards Robert Millard ----- Original Message ----- From: "Geoff Brightman" <geoff_brightman6@thefreeinternet.co.uk> To: <ENG-GLO-HAWKESBURY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, October 14, 2000 9:27 PM Subject: [[Hawks]] forwarded > Hello Geoff, > Now that I am a bit more sorted, may I introduce myself as Peter Benger from > Hampshire. > > My interest is in the ELLIOT(T) family whom I thought came from Hawkesbury, > but now seem to have been centred around Hillesley.
