It makes the whole thing even more interesting, and means it might be useful to look at tithe apportionments for Wickwar, Kingswood, Yate, etc, since the properties could well be identifiable. If things worked out as John COOPER intended, and the properties and wealth remained in the family, then perhaps this could begin to explain how my grandmother could have died in a terrace house in Portsmouth in 1919 leaving £450. It was some residue of the estate of her gt-grandfather's brother. Bob
