Hi, I don't know if this has been discussed before or not. I have noticed that there seemed to be a number of Hawkesbury residents or people who lived in the area who migrated to North Wales in the last century. I just noticed on the Buckley Society web page: http://www.buckleysociety.org.uk/society.htm That there is a Hawkesbury Community Centre in Buckley which is located in Flintshire. Hi Edward, this is indeed very interesting for my searches as we have recently found that 2 of our relies were born in Newport Mon but censured in 1881 in Yate Glos. These were Edward Robert SHIPP b.1876 son of Henry SHIPP & Robert Edward KING b.1876 gson of Robert Neale SHIPP. We are assuming gson means grandson, especially in view of the christian names, but of course it could mean godson. I know Newport isnt exactly North Wales, but would you mind having a look for SHIPP families there for me please.
