Wilmott Melhuish THOMPSON and her future husband John SHIPWAY left Hawkesbury and emigrated to Australia on the Bussorah Merchant along with their parents in 1839. Andrew Charles Bussorah SHIPWAY was born on the voyage. The medical report of the ship's surgeon is available at the PRO Kew under catalogue no ADM 101/76/5. There are reports for the ship also referring to voyages in 1828, 1829/30 and 1831 when she was designated a convict ship. In 1839 the designation is emigrant ship.
