    3. Geoff and Karen I was very interested in this message - last Friday I discovered my 2xg grandmother Hester born in Charfield was a WHITWORTH - I found her on Gordon Beavington's CD listed with her family WHITWORTH James 43 Woollen Cloth Spinner Chard Martha 39 Burler Wotton under Edge Humphrey 16 Brusher Charfield Elizabeth 11 Joiner Charfield Hester 6 Scholar Charfield I found James WHITWORTH listed in the 1881 census as a widower with his son George who was born at Kingswood (I don't know where George was in 1851). Although I can't see a connection at the moment - there are quite a few coincidences. A friend is ordering Hester's marriage certificate next week from the FRC - after that I will get her birth cert. Hester married James ORGAN from North Nibley and lived the rest of her life there.
