I am forwarding the following as it was meant for the list ........what a nice man he is !!!!!! Dear Pond Dipper - Greetings from the Antipodes. What a great bloke you are for putting together this site .It is, at least in potentia, a real gem. I believe that one of my G-G-Grandfathers was Llewellyn Thomas Cooper born 16/4/1842 at Upton in the Parish of Hawkesbury, the son of James (born circa 1815 in the Parish) and Ann Lewis (born circa 1821 in the Parish) who married in the Parish Church 11/10/1840. James was the son of Joseph (described as a farmer on the marr. cert.) about whom I know nothing else. Ann was the daughter of Thomas (a carpenter). A William Cooper and a John Winbow (a name I think I've seen somewhere on your site) were witnesses to the marriage of James and Ann. As you can probably tell I'm very much the beginner in matters genealogical and the internet but I hope this communication is of some interest to you and/or the Society. Do please pass on my email address to anyone who may be interested in responding to the above. Best wishes and keep up the good work, Roderick Cooper P.S. Any chance of the 1841 census appearing on the site? Geoffro The Pond Dipper Http://www.HawkesburyFamilyHistory.co.uk
