Hi Geoff I was there at the time, and it was the man with the monkeys of Oxlease Cottage who told us the center of Inglestone common was "ploughed out" during the last war as part of the land war effort. Eddie BUTLER's parents lived at the cottage on coldchange hill he was born there in about 1933 since then Danial STINCHCOMB lived there who was the son of Frank (Francis)STINCHCOMB and ???
