Joseph and Mary have a whole list of children registered in the period 1805-29 which match exactly the ones given in your John COOPER will. So it looks like James must be the son of Joseph who is brother of John and hence son of Thomas and Martha. However we can't be certain that the James who married Ann LEWIS is this one unless the marriage certificate gives some clues. He might be the other James who is the son of Thomas and Ann COOPER born ca 1803. Or he might even be from a distant parish. Geoffro might look up the marriage on his microfiche to see if there's a clue. I don't think any of us have worked on the very early COOPERS you ask about yet. Doug Thompson
