Geoffro's reply number 1 Perhaps Doug thinks marriage is a death sentence as I have the burial fiche not the marriage. Geoffro's reply number 2 Mother is asking father if he will put the 100 needed to buy ALL the available Hawkesbury registers on his credit card and accept payment from me in 2 instalments. Tis my birthday soon...and the fiche reader is now paid for. Geoffro's reply number 3 I just happen to have a photocopy of the parish regsiter entry Register entry no. 33 on the 11th of October 1840 sees the marriage of James COOPER described of "of full age" and Ann LEWIS descibed as "under age". He a bachelor and she a spinster. James is a labourer and Ann has no occupation listed. Both were resident in Upton at the time of marriage. James father is listed as Joseph COOPER Farmer and Ann's as Thomas LEWIS Carpenter. James signed his name. Ann made a mark. The witnesses were William COOPER and John WINBOW ( who we think was perhaps a clerk or something similar).
