First of all thank you to Carol concerning the information about Betty, sister of 'my' Thomas CHAPPELL. We must be related somehow, but I haven't had time to work out quite how yet ! Also thank you to Geoffro for the information about the YOUNG family who were involved with the shop, but I don't think they are any thing to do with me. When would they have kept the shop ? My Great Grandfather was called George YOUNG and my Great Grandmother was Jane or Sarah Jane nee FARMER, he was born in Nettleton and she was born in West Kington. I know that my Grandfather had a brother called Harry or Henry, but I believe he went to London, and there was a sister called Mary known as Polly, who married a man by the name of GREEN, and they lived in Swindon. Now that Carol tells me that Richard and Jane CHAPPELL came from Wiltshire, I am much more of a Moonraker than I ever realised. I have another query that maybe someone can help me with, after Joseph CHAPPELL died, I don't know when but he was alive on the 1881 census, his widow Kate married again to a Dick ? GODFREY, again I don't know when or where, but they were both alive and living in Leighterton, in the early 1920's. I wonder if this means anything to anyone else out there. Unfortunately I shall not be able to join you all at the end of September, but will look forward to being able to meet everyone at the next occasion. I was more successful accessing Bill's Book the second time, and found it excellent. Regards Rita
