I am quite new to the family history game but I wonder if the following information about my family is, in anyway, connected to anyone else's research and whether or not anyone has any information which may be of interest to myself. My Grandmother was born Emily CHAPPELL, she was born at Long Newton near Tetbury, her father was Albert CHAPPELL and her mother Kate MELLSOM (not sure about the spelling) On the 1881 census she appears at Hawkesbury, the family living with her Grand parents. They were Joseph CHAPPELL, christened at Hawkesbury on 1 December 1822 and who married Martha SIMS on 2 June 1844 at Hawkesbury. His parents were Thomas CHAPPELL and Mary ROLF who were married on 30 April 1820, at Hawkesbury I have found Thomas CHAPPELL who was christened on 9 October 1796 at Hawkesbury whose parents were Richard and Jane, but I do not know if this is the right Thomas CHAPPELL. I believe Martha SIMS's parents were Robert SIMS and Ann THOMAS. On the 1851 census, Albert CHAPPELL, who I believed to have been born in 1850, doesn't appear with Joseph and Martha, but a James does who was born in 1850, perhaps a name change !
