    3. I wonder if anyone has any knowledge of whether or not there was any kind of church or chapel at Inglestone Common around 1916. My mother was born Eileen Norah (or maybe Norah Eileen) YOUNG at Tresham on 16 April 1916, her parents were Arthur YOUNG and Emily (nee CHAPPELL). She always told me that she was christened at Inglestone Common, however after visiting there, I wonder if someone was playing a joke on her ! I know that Alderley is a bit far away but I also wonder if any listers have any knowledge of any YOUNG family there at White Hall Farm. Regards Rita Hatcliffe

    3. Hi Rita I know there has never been a church at Inglestone Common but I think there might have been a chapel near Ox Lease farm I can not think of any building off hand but its worth having a look on Saturday when the Pond Dipper and I are at Hawkesbury, so your Mother may be correct, I can remember when the chapel at Back St Hawkesbury could bring out a portable organ and held a church service at the war memorial, the folks on the common would often attend the chapel at Hawkesbury so it could be that an open air service may have been held at Inglestone Common. Would be most interested in any details of Emily CHAPPELLs parents as I don't think I know of her. Is there a connection between your YOUNG family and the THOMPSON's who ran the store at Hawkesbury. regards Robert Millard ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rita Hatcliffe" <rita_hatcliffe@rmsciren.demon.co.uk> To: <ENG-GLO-HAWKESBURY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, August 18, 2000 2:58 PM Subject: [[Hawks]] Inglestone Common > I wonder if anyone has any knowledge of whether or not there was any kind > of church or chapel at Inglestone Common around 1916. > > My mother was born Eileen Norah (or maybe Norah Eileen) YOUNG at Tresham on > 16 April 1916, her parents were Arthur YOUNG and Emily (nee CHAPPELL).
