Hi Adrian and John Re our common Ancestry I am happy with the line back to Daniel STINCHCOMB of 1736 and Sarah GUEST but there is a choice Nicholas for the Father 1/ Nicholas c. 12 Dec 1701 father John and Mother Mary MAISH married 25 Feb 1687 2/ Nicholas c. 22 Deb 1699 father Thomas mother Bridget BENCE married 2 Aug 1697 I think the parents were 1/ John and Mary the reason being Daniel had 8 children Mary , John , William , Elizabeth ,Nicholas ,Joyce, Daniel , Benjamin, the first two names are same as Parents of Daniel. 2nd choice Nicholas c, 11 Feb 1699 could be the son of Thomas and Bridget or Thomas and Ann WIDHAM married 8 Oct 1695 there is one certain child of Anns that is Elizabeth as both Thomas and Ann are named the rest are c.dates only Nathaniel Jan 1698 , Martha Nov 1698 , Nicholas Feb 1699 , Hester Mar 1701 , Mary Aug 1701 , Thomas Apr 1704 , John Jul 1706 do either of you have any clues in wills etc that can confirm or disprove the above. Nehamiah son of Thomas was a Boot maker he lived and had a shop/workshop at Upton where the main villiage is now he first morgaged the property to Ann HARRIS of Ozleworth 21 May 1688 by which time he had moved, one year later he sold all interests in the property, as John has already said he moved to Chipping Sodbury which by this time was a market town presumably he set up shop there as a Boot maker. looking forward to your thoughts on the above regards Robert.
