Hello hot people, Can anyone please help me with a point of history. Does anyone know what may have being going on around Gloucs in 1703 which could give rise to the following comments in a will: ".............. being in perfect health ......... and memory ........... yet being assured of the certainty of death the most uncertain of the time ............." Any suggestions will be gratefully received. Many thanks Sue Sissons glowing brightly in 90F + Hemel Hempstead Gloucs & Wilts Interests BALCH - Chippenham BROWN - ? Hi Sue Nothing going on in the Will. It was a legal point to state you we in perfect memory but of a Sick or Well body this was so the Will could not be contested due to not knowing what you were doing when making the will, and if there is one thing we can all be assured of is death and you are never certain of when it will come. I think 1703-5 was a bad small pox time, that may had ultimatly got him or just a visitaion of God I like that one . Its very hot here as well probably just like winter in queensland regards Robert ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, August 09, 2003 7:32 PM Subject: [HWK] History Query > Hello hot people, > > Can anyone please help me with a point of history. > > Does anyone know what may have being going on around Gloucs in 1703 which > could give rise to the following comments in a will: > > ".............. being in perfect health ......... and memory ........... yet > being assured of the certainty of death the most uncertain of the time > ............." > > Any suggestions will be gratefully received. > > Many thanks > > Sue Sissons > glowing brightly in > 90F + Hemel Hempstead > > > Gloucs & Wilts Interests > > BALCH - Chippenham > BROWN - ? > BROWNING - Woodchester > CHAPPELL - Lyneham, Rendcombe, North Cerney, Oldbury, Hawkesbury > CHURCH - Cranham > COOPER - ? > DIZEN - ? > GRIFFIN - Rendcombe, Brimpsfield, Shipton Olliffe, Whittington > HIPWORTH - Chippenham, Salisbury > IDOLLES - Oldbury > JORDAN - Brimpsfield, Elkstone > ROBERTS - ? > SMITH - Rendcombe, Withington > STEPHENS - Salisbury > TERRET - Elkstone > TEST - Cheltenham > > > ==== ENG-GLO-HAWKESBURY Mailing List ==== > Please remember when you post messages that SURNAMES should be in CAPITALS.
