Hi Robert I don't know too much about the Hicks family.I have the following Thomas Hicks and Christian Barber married 15 Dec 1717 Hawkesbury they had a Christian Hicks..1718..Christian Hicks..1727 and Mary 26 Aug 1720 Wickwar.don't know if the Christians are the same person or is a bap and birth or seperate people???.There is a Thomas Hicks son of John Hicks and Martha Bubb 1689 Dursley. I am mostly interested in the Hart family. William and children: Stephen Hart and Christian Hart. My Hart family came from Kingswood nr Wooton Underedge. Stephen Hart and Elizabeth Hollister md 1814. I am stumped there with Stephen's birth..according to 1851 census he was born in Westbury Wiltshire but I have never found him there or any of the other Westburies in Glouc. My Hollisters are in Wickwar and then Horton and Yate... I do have the will for Christian Hart Adlin and the one for William Adlin. It is very possible that these people do come from Tortworth..Charfield and the others you mentioned as I have Hart familes born in all of them.... On the marriage the whitness was an Allen or Alden for Stephen Hart and Elizabeth Hollister so possible this family is related to mine..I have traced them as far as I can find them. Stephen Hart son of Christian Hart Adin's wife died in Chipping Sodbury and I can't pick him up again. There is a Stephen Hart and Sarah that shows up in Kingswood with a dau Sarah but no other info on them either. Any comments appreciated. Regards Carolyn Ostler [email protected]
