Hi Listers, On re-examining the information on Moses and Ann ILES family, there seems to be some inconsistencies in the various dates recorded. Ann ILES (nee HANCOCK) was baptised in 1766 but the gravestone inscription indicates she died in 1813 aged 45 which gives a birth date of 1768! Furthermore, there is an IGI entry for the baptism for Daniel, a son of Moses and Ann, for 1818 - five years after Ann died! Looking at the birth dates for Moses family they came along regularly every 2-3 years but Daniel is the odd one out - there is a gap of 13 years between his birth and that of the next older offspring in 1805. Additionally there is an 1851 Census record for a Daniel ILES born Hawkesbury in 1808 and living in Thornbury. If this is the son of Moses then a birth date of 1808 would make more sense suggesting there may be an error in the IGI data. Does anyone have access to the parish records for Hawkesbury to check the baptism date for Daniel and the burial date for Ann? Thanks in advance Dennis
