    3. Hi All The Pond Dipper says I should introduce myself and tell you who I am descended from so here goes. My grandfather Nigel John Tuck was born in Hawkesbury in 1906. He was the youngest son of George Tuck and Annie nee Allan. They lived at No 1 Six Cottages. I've gone back a few generations beyond this as I've been researching for some time though I haven't been computerised for long. Until a few years ago Gramps sister still lived in the village, she was well into her 90s when she left. I have some cousins who live in Hawkesbury. Nicola

    3. Hi Nicola, You won't know of the Great Crash of Xmas 1999 when The Pond Dipper very intelligently bought an external CD Writer and then promptly deleted years of work. Not all of that work has been recreated yet. Listers occasionally hear me refer to The Green Filing Cabinet which is where all my bits of paper are thrown (other people file things). Somewhere in there are further details of the TUCK family. >From memory ( helped by cousin Bob) Robert TUCK married Harriet COOPER THOMPSON and there were a number of children. Memory also tells me that the TUCKs and the STAFFORD families are linked. Are you in contact with Pam ROBINSON. I think also that one of the TUCKs appears on one of the COOPER wills. Who were George's parents ? Did his father have siblings ? I note you refer to "Six Cottages"....did you know these were once called "Little Jerusalem" ? If you knew this could you enlighten me and others as to why ? I am wondering if we know your living village relatives ? Perhaps we have supped with them in The Beaufort ? Geoffro
