I have been sent a postcard with the CORNOCK triplets on it (one of them Ella was my gran who passed over in March would have been 98 tomorrow) on the reverse is a note from "M F" I think she is the sister of Mrs R PUGSLEY of Lane end, Porlock Wier, Somerset it was posted 25 May 1906 in Leighterton, the "R" is probably her husbands initial. does this link to anyone I would imagine the card was bought in Hawkesbury or Hillesley. regards Robert Visit my web pages at http://www.btinternet.com/~ra.millard/index.htm ==== ENG-GLO-HAWKESBURY Mailing List ==== When replying to messages please make sure to remove ALL the "Re: and Hawks" bits in the subject line as otherwise these will be repeated. ============================== To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237 Message has been scanned by Webshield Message has been scanned by Webshield
Hi Eric Thanks for the info, Dave HEDGES told me about someone on the Hillesley village site who mentioned he had a postcard, and on the front was a picture of the 1905 Hawkesbury triplets, My grandmother being one of them I contacted him he sent me a copy, I was naturally curious as to who had sent it originaly and hence I received the text and a note saying I doubt these are connected in anyway, he also said that the recipient was his grandmother, having worked out who the sender and recipient was I asked if he knew you, turns out he is or has been in contact with you. In December I was in the Beaufort telling this story to Robert LEE from Canada who was visiting when a couple on the next table heard me mention COOK they told me their son was researching the COOK's turned out to be your Mum and Dad. small world or are you famous? regards Robert Visit my web pages at http://www.hawkesburyhistory.co.uk ----- Original Message ----- From: "ericwhitlock" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, January 27, 2004 12:25 AM Subject: FW: [HWK]FRANKCOMBE and PUGSLEY postcard > > Hi Robert et all > > I am just sending this again because iI did not get areply so I thought > there may have been a server problem.
