Brian My understanding is that Enoch COOK (my great Grandfather) was a Stone Mason who help in the construction of Badminton Station. I guess he could have been called a railway Labourer at that time. However, according to his apprenticeship papers he was apprentice for five years to Ruben Werrett at age 14 starting in 1885. This would make him 30 when the 1901 census was taken and probably living up the Rank at Wortley where I know my Grandfather Alfred COOK was born in 1898. He also would have been living with his wife Mary COOK (nee COLLINS). This does not seem to tie in with Frederick below. This Frederick could be a Cousin since I have no record of Enoch having a brother.
