Hi All A little teaser from my Australian cousin. Hope someone can help. "John WATTS CHAPPELL baptised 22/7/1789 Hawkesbury (the son of John WATTS and Mary CHAPPELL born without the blessing of his parents marriage), married Hannah HOPKINS (5/10/1816 Hawkesbury) Their children were Lewis (1818), Eliza (1820), Aaron (b 1823 d 1824), Peter (1825), Jane (1827), Piety (b 1828 d 1831), William (1839), George (1839), Piety (1840) and Hannah (1841). I found a marriage for Piety CHAPPELL & George COLLETT and also found them and their family of 7 children in the 1881 Census at Rockstowe, Uley. The age for Joseph was 44 and that for Piety 41 that 'checked' with the YOB for Piety CHAPPELL.. However the marriage certificate shows the father of Piety as John COLLINS CHAPPELL. I note that there is a gap of 10/11 years between the birth of Piety who died in 1831 and the next child I have recorded for John WATTS CHAPPELL and Hannah HOPKINS and I now wonder if the last four children were not their children but the children of another CHAPPELL namely John COLLINS CHAPPELL or if they are their children, the Piety who married George COLLETT is of yet another Chappell family".
